Tomato variety Barin

Barin is a mid-season large-fruited tomato hybrid. Versatile. It is successfully cultivated both under film shelters and in greenhouses, and when planting in open ground. The fruits are excellent for fresh salad consumption, and for use in the manufacture of canned tomato products. The Barin variety is included in the State Register of the Russian Federation as suitable for growing in a private household, as well as for large-scale production.

The period from the appearance of the first shoots to the beginning of mass ripening of fruits varies from 110 to 115 days. The optimum age of seedlings for planting in an unheated greenhouse is 55 days.

The barin tomato bush is powerful, 80 to 100 cm high, with large dark green leaves and a strong stem with short internodes. The plant is determinate, needs moderate pinching at the beginning of the season.

In a brush, 5 - 7 fruits. The fruits, aligned on the cluster, look like a single bunch. Productivity: 8 - 11 kg per plant or from 80 to 110 t / ha. The yield of the crop is uniform.

Ripe tomatoes are very large - 250 - 300 g each, bright red, flat-round and slightly flattened, the surface is smooth and glossy. The pulp is dense and fleshy, the fruit is multi-chambered with a division into six or more nests. The taste is characterized as excellent, with a slight sourness.

Distinctive characteristics of the Barin variety:

- immune resistance to verticillary wilt and damage by the tobacco mosaic virus;
- high rates of productivity and quality of the fruits obtained under unfavorable conditions in drought;
- the suitability of fruits for storage up to one and a half months in natural conditions and the possibility of long-term transportation.
